I am an instructor. Swooping is great fun, and I agree it is as safe as the swooper makes it. But, you need to start slow, learn the right? way, and listen to the experienced! It could be very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing!

This is why I stay away from swoop. Just this year I know of a several people seriously injured from swooping, and though they look cool and may be fun to do,? I personally opt to stay with the square landing patterns.

That is about the most fail and uneducated comment I have ever seen...You obviously don't know anything about physics or understand the basics of speed as it pertains to objects like fixed wings. Just because? this guy failed and started his 270 too low doesn't mean it's a bad example. Swooping is fun, and is as safe as the person initiating the swoop. Just because you are afraid of it doesn't mean it's unsafe, unnecessarily dangerous or any of that.
