Reading the comments I dont think people understand how boost works. Ya a stockvr4 has 10psi buts its coming from two apple size turbos meaning its not pushing much volume. He is pushing 10-15psi from a small water melon meaning more volume of air? thus needs more fuel and spark = more potential power.

My friend just bought an eclipse just like this from a guy in kissimee, fl with the same swap. The motor was destroyed so he got an front clip of the same engine but the car cant go past 2nd gear or it just stalls. It idles great but runs really rough in 1st and 2nd. I would have rather had it sit in your garage and stay in mint condition than have you sell it so someone else could buy it, put 24 inch wheels on it, install some? disgustingly stupid sound system in it, put "fun" little neon lights all over it, install an intercooler so large that it actually decreases turbo efficiency and an exhaust system so poorly thought out, that the amount of boost creep created would be enough to power a city bus... eventually destroying the engine.

@MPRdrummer. You shoukd watch the finally video of this project, it explains alot. Engine design has nothing to do with it. Its simply physics! You have to spin the SC and that takes energy,? energy TAKEN from the engine system as a whole. The design worked, it makes more pwoer down low, but less up top, because you still have to spin the SC.

to be able to run a set up like this you would need a larger engine than a v8. It doesn't matter if your running small 30 or 40 trim turbo's. the fact that your? robbing the engine of power from the crank causes it's vacuum to decrease meaning your the twin supercharger would be cause of the hp decrease. Rally car's use a supercharger to get off the line quicker and use a turbo to make the top end speed quick and those are small 4cyl 2.0l engines making 500+hp. It's all about the engine design

supercharger doesnt take power away from the turbo's the turbos run off of the exhaust. The supercharger runs off of the the engines kinetic energy, forcing a small turbine to draw air into the intake manifold? much faster. There's no forces canceling each other out in this case. The only issue with trying to run a twin turbo to a twin supercharge engine is A. the oil pan won't be large enough to store the amount of oil needed to properly lubricate the motor and aspirations. B. you need tons air

The fact that you want to bypass the turbos before they spool tells me you are clueless about how they work! They are in NO way a restriction for the SC,? just as they are in no way a restriction for the N/A side of the engine on a normally turbo car before it spools. These turbos will out flow the SC ANY DAY! If anything you'd want to bypass the SC with a clutch and bypass valves for the top end......but this is WAY too much work... ;)

Nahh. took one and had it checked some one had a 19T mod done to them. the cuts on the compressor wheel is for the exhaust side balance. Because the wheels aren't recommended matched. So the compressor wheel has been machined a little. Hens the scream of the compressor charging air,? It's the groves at the tip of each blade? Strange but they are balanced and can hold 15.3Psi at Redline/18.9= 5800rpm. But thanks for the suggestion tho!

The only strange thing about my 99 is that during a leak test I noticed grooves cut into the compressor wheels blades at the end of each one? Ohh the question. A single turbine's app to the front pipe simple but the rear route to front. Is the temp range hotter due to the longer travel? I know yes. Just want? to know by how much (ball park it). I believe you can run 12s with 2k, my first dsm build was super budget.? I was able to get into the super low 13s in a stock suspension fwd 1g and i was hooked up like crazy, alot of free parts handed down to me but i wasnt able to keep it together long. Stock, high mileage long blocks dont hold much.

you're the retard for not? realising, that Mitsubishi, being a JAPANESE manufacturer, released the 8G Galant (and VR-4) in their home market, Japan, in 1996. Given that the USDM 8G had to be modified to be LHD, and went to macpherson strut front suspension instead of retaining the multilink front of the JDM models, you can see how there could be a delay with being released into the US.

3000gt's are hybrid american & japanese dodge stealths are exactly 100% the same? just as eclipse gst's & gsx's were the same to Eagle Talon TSI's and Plymouth Laser rt's. DSM or Diamond Star Motors was 50/50 joint operation of chrysler and mitsubishi. eclipses, talons, and lasers came from the same factory which is located in Normal Illinois.

There are really people that PREFER the 3000GT? I thought for sure the RX-7 was the obvious choice. It's lighter, nearly as much power, and a better drivers car. I like the 3000GT a? lot but it's heavy, it's AWD and probably understeers a bit in the corners. Plus, for driving on the road, it's always better to have a lighter more nimble sports car than a heavier one with more power. Wait a second, is this one of the old RX-7s that only had like 240hp? That does change the argument I guess

For track duty... RX7? Hands down, The 3000GT is a PIG. With the rotary although sometimes finicky, are very reliably for track duty if they are properly taken care of. The 8k of revs really helps you find a suitable gear easier in both large and small tracks. You also have ALOT of room in the engine bay for larger engines if you see fit vs the ZxA platform where there isnt even space to fart. I know they will always carry a presence but to run competitive times Ill stick with the RX7.
