It's an atypical collision.....it's not like someone cut his arms off while he was laying? down on a table.......the guy was travelling at 150mph and the collision happened at over 300mph (net speed).....hence, blood could easily come out quicker than normal.......sorry bud but to me it's quite obvious that that's blood......

@IIIIdepechemodeIIII and think about this, if losing your legs wasn't enough to? die (considering the largest vein in the body is in the leg) then why would losing a hand necessarily mean death?).....it was obviously something to do with the impact that killed him and not necessarily his lost of a limb.....he also could have died of sheer shock or just not been in good health (compared to the other guy).....who knows how the body responds to something like that....

@IIIIdepechemodeIIII how about this.....the guy didn't lose his arms but since his arms cut off the other guys legs, it's reasonable to assume that his head may have hit that guys body (is it not? just think about the physics of it). Yet we know the other guy? who lost his legs couldn't have had his head hit.....at over 300mph combined speed, it would make sense that the guy who was lower (and thus had his head exposed to being hit) would die while the other could survive..

Larger groups of skydivers have more drift? across the sky, therefore a large group will drift over the top of a smaller group. For this reason, almost every dropzone I've ever been to sends out larger groups of belly fliers first. The fact that this larger group (3 ppl) went after smaller groups (singles) combined with the very small amount of time allowed between groups (~4.5 seconds) is why this happened. This was a failure of both planning and execution.

FYI - Everything see you see here is exactly what you DO NOT do in skydiving. So avoidable!? Those guys had zero situational awareness of each other. Kind of pertinent given all the canopy collisions that have been going on lately. They don't usually end very well as we are rapidly finding out.

dont be silly. how can you fall out of a harness like that? A harness straps around your thighs and groin. It just looks like his foot has wrapped around the other guys lines in collision and causing a collapse. The guy probably panicked when he felt? the whole weight of the guy below him dangling from his foot.
