I've watched the movie more than once. Terrible presumption, or attempt at insulting me. I found some scenes funny. Different people have different kind of humors. I don't know about direction and good story telling. I don't analyze movies like that. I've seen it but not in a pretty long time so I won't argue with that. I can identify with Zach Gilford's character, and I loved "One Day", a very good song that I discovered through this movie. I do not think the? characters were boring at all.

did you not watch the movie at all? It's was like a romantic comedy? but it was neither comedic nor romantic. It lacks direction and good story telling, the characters are boring and really I couldn't care about them. the idea of the life of college grad is actually interesting given the times but this was just glossing over the many things they could explored

Why confused? I saw the light and gave? up a PhD tied to university premises and thus expensive rent, very limited and possibly fruitless (at least for you) contact with supervisor/s, etc. unless your plans for grad school are clearly followed by a paid job you'd like, or if teaching is your passion. If you want a PhD for personal satisfaction or care about the title of Dr you can always do it on a distance basis. Mind you, my PhD would have been in philosophy, so a relatively easy choice ;-)

In Norway foreigners can attend university and even graduate school for free. They pay a low yearly fee close to 80 bucks a yr. They just have to provide housing, etc. Anyway would definitely like to get my PHD in Norway. Def.? will have a job there before I go for PHD. PHD is pretty laid back in fields outside of natural sciences. In terms of being able to work full-time and pursue it. So the Simpson's stereotype is well not fucking true.

yea, I think that's the paradigm shift gen y is making. A lot are starting to either freelance or go into business for themselves. Even if it is just consulting you essentially are running your own business. Anyway it has to happen because there isn't going to be a safety for today's youth like the previous generations enjoyed. Do Not Go To College Thinking Like That. College learning a trade: music theory, Composing techniques, and Vocal and instrumental training. and before you cite all of those people that make it without college, I say this: if you're really good you might make it without college, but if you take the classes, you will ALWAYS be better.

Most of them are no longer necessary, teachers will get laid off because teachers will start teaching via web-cam, larger amounts of? students at a time. The way I see it, I would never pay to get spoon-fed information I can very easily obtain myself and paying for a job just doesn't sit right with me.
