All About Indoor Skydiving -- Seattle
Believe it or not, you can go skydiving indoors. If you are looking for indoor skydiving Seattle locations, your best resource is the Internet. Because of the popularity of skydiving and skydiving simulators, you will find more facilities than ever offering this type of activity. If you've never tried a sky diving simulator, you are in for some excitement. A simulator is perfect for anyone who has considered skydiving but is not sure if they want to take such a big step in the name of excitement. In addition, a simulator works well for people training for real skydiving.
The first thing that happens when using a skydiving simulator is the training session. This session lasts for around 20 minutes. During this time you will learn about what is in store for you. Then you will be given your equipment and taught how to use it. The equipment is mostly safety apparel. It includes a jumpsuit made from windbreaker material, a pair of goggles for your eyes, and a pair of earplugs for your ears. As far as footwear is concerned a good pair of sneakers should suffice. The equipment check takes about 15 minutes. All of this preparation leads to a flight session that may only last a few minutes.
Of course, when you are in flight a few minutes might feel like an hour! The strange sensation of floating in the air is so different that time seems to go very slowly. Unlike actual skydiving, there is no jumping involved with indoor skydiving. Rather than jumping from a high area, you stand on the ground. You are lifted off the ground by the wind and kept in the air. The powerful wind current lifts and keeps you aloft and simulates the same conditions as you would experience during an actual skydiving session.
There are skydiving simulators all over the United States. If you want to find indoor skydiving Seattle centers, the best place to look is your telephone book. While you are very likely to find a traditional skydiving school near you, it may be harder to find an indoor skydiving center. The good news is that these centers are growing in popularity which means if there is not one near you right now, there may be one sometime in the near future.
