There are always going to be people who are looking for the latest adrenaline rush. This is nothing new. For at least hundreds of years, brave thrill seekers have been looking out for the latest adventure. One of the oldest and most enduring thrills to be had is sky diving. When you go on an adventure sky diving excursion, you undertake an incredible challenge that will change your life forever. There are several different types of skydiving adventures that you can have.

The most common type of sky diving, especially for beginners, is tandem sky diving. Tandem diving means you are harnessed to your sky diving instructor. This is of course the most safe form of sky diving. Tandem jumping gives you the security of being attached to an experienced professional who can operate the equipment and provide a safe landing. One of the benefits of the tandem jump is the level of training required. You only need to attend a brief orientation session before being able to go up and do your jump.

This is different from the other two types of sky diving. For example, with static line jumping you are not connected to an instructor. You are on your own, equipped with parachute. When you jump out of the plane, your parachute deploys immediately. Static line sky diving requires more training than the tandem jump. Then there is the AFF, or accelerated free fall. This type of sky diving takes even more instruction than the static line skydive. AAF is done from a higher altitude and allows for a longer period of free fall which is very thrilling for many adventure seekers.

To find the perfect adventure sky diving excursion, do some online searching or check your local telephone directory. In most metropolitan areas and even small towns you can find sky diving schools that offer the three main types of sky diving instruction. You will find that tandem jumping is not only the easiest type of sky diving for newbies, it is also the most affordable. The tandem jump adventure gives the average person an opportunity to experience the thrill of sky diving without a great deal of instruction or investment.
